"Both truth and communication begin with a simple gesture: touch, the authentic voice of feeling. The loving touch, like music, often utters the things that cannot be spoken - nothing need be said, for everything is understood" - Ashley Montagu
In collaboration with support groups, we bring together diverse communities - from estranged parents to challenged young adults - inspired by the transformative power of our therapeutic tools. We believe every vulnerable individual or family support organisation stands to benefit from attending our Caring Clouds.
Features
Uplifting and fun, we encourage participation and welcome feedback, as this helps determine the direction the Cloud session will take, as well as addressing family concerns.
We help families build their own Caring Cloud with therapeutic tools, along with simple, gentle and repetitive hand and arm massage, designed specifically as a communication technique, With meditative strokes to promote mindfulness, grounding and peace, the massage is designed to be a positive interactive experience of sharing and caring.
We bring together family groups who share similar experiences and provide a supportive and safe environment for respite and relaxation. Clouds are carefully timed to alleviate concerns about extended times away from work, study and other duties.
We facilitate a compassionate environment for all our families, combining our proficiency in using touch to promote togetherness and alleviate feelings of separation. This creates a supportive space, not only imparting valuable tools but encouraging confidence and openness.
The tools we provide are meant to be shared in the community, as they serve as valuable resources for enhancing relationships and making positive impacts on physical and emotional wellbeing.
Eye contact and gentle hand massage increases levels of oxytocin in the blood, promoting kindess and gratitude, love and affection. A sense of unity can alleviate stresses and frustrations and give all family members the inclination to engage in authentic, caring conversations.
Sharing our tools can have positive outcomes for an entire support network; strengthening bonds and connections within the immediate family and its surrounding community; bringing people together and supporting family members who may feel isolated.
Even if sometimes words are difficult to find, through touch, families can develop a non-verbal form of communication, enhancing patience and empathy among family members.
Regular therapeutic touch in infancy and childhood contributes to secure attachment, positively influencing a child's social and emotional development.
